Discover one of the finest ways to experience the craftsmanship of AJ Fernandez with this carefully curated AJ Fernandez Toro Sampler. This premium 5-pack brings together five distinct medium to full-bodied Toro cigars, all handmade in Estelí, Nicaragua, by one of the most respected names in the modern premium cigar industry. Whether you are a seasoned aficionado looking to explore different blends or a newcomer wanting to discover the quality of Nicaraguan tobacco without committing to full boxes, this AJ Fernandez Toro Sampler offers outstanding variety, construction and value.
Each cigar in the sampler measures approximately 6 inches with a 52 ring gauge – the classic Toro vitola that provides a balanced and satisfying smoking time of around 60 to 90 minutes. The format is ideal for relaxed evening smokes, weekend tastings or thoughtful gift-giving. All five cigars are medium to full-bodied, delivering complexity, excellent burn characteristics and the signature richness that has made AJ Fernandez a favourite among UK enthusiasts.
This AJ Fernandez Toro Sampler contains five carefully selected Toro cigars that showcase the range and versatility of the brand:
1. Enclave Connecticut Toro Featuring a smooth Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over a blend of aged Dominican and Nicaraguan long fillers with a Honduran binder. This refined cigar offers a silky, elegant smoke with notes of pepper, spice, cedar and a subtle touch of cinnamon. It is medium-bodied, approachable and perfect for those who prefer a cleaner, more refined profile while still enjoying excellent construction and a clean burn.
2. New World Puro Especial Toro A true Nicaraguan puro using tobaccos cultivated exclusively on Fernandez-owned farms in Estelí and aged between three and five years. The result is a medium to full-bodied experience with creamy notes of coffee, nuts and a gentle sweetness. This is one of the most recognisable expressions in the New World line and a firm favourite among smokers who appreciate pure Nicaraguan character.
3. San Lotano Requiem Habano Toro Full-flavoured and beautifully balanced, this cigar showcases a Brazilian Habano wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and a carefully selected mix of Nicaraguan, Honduran and Dominican fillers. Expect rich notes of spice, coffee and fruit that develop steadily throughout the smoke. Many enthusiasts regard the San Lotano Requiem as one of the standout cigars in any AJ Fernandez sampler for its depth and complexity.
4. Bellas Artes Toro This medium to full-bodied Nicaraguan Toro features a rich Nicaraguan wrapper, Nicaraguan Habano binder and a gourmet blend of Brazilian, Honduran and Nicaraguan fillers. The flavour profile includes espresso, nuts, cocoa and spice, creating a refined and satisfying experience. Bellas Artes has earned a strong reputation for consistency and craftsmanship, making it a highlight of this AJ Fernandez Toro Sampler.
5. New World Redondo Toro A box-pressed Toro that is medium to full-bodied and packed with character. Expect brisk peppery notes of black coffee and a series of perfect draws thanks to meticulous construction. The New World Redondo delivers ample smoke and a cool, even burn that many smokers find particularly enjoyable.
Together these five cigars form a well-rounded selection that allows you to compare different wrapper types and flavour profiles side by side. From the smoother Connecticut-wrapped Enclave to the richer Habano and pure Nicaraguan expressions, the AJ Fernandez Toro Sampler delivers excellent variety in a convenient pack.
AJ Fernandez has built an outstanding reputation for producing high-quality Nicaraguan cigars that combine traditional Cuban techniques with modern precision. Raised in a family steeped in tobacco heritage, A.J. Fernandez oversees operations at Tabacalera Fernandez in Estelí, one of the most respected factories in Nicaragua. The result is consistent construction, carefully aged tobaccos and blends that regularly earn high scores from cigar publications and enthusiasts alike.
The New World line itself was created as a collaboration between A.J. and his father Ismael, commemorating the discovery of tobacco in the New World. Many of the cigars in this sampler use tobaccos grown on Fernandez-owned farms across Estelí, Jalapa, Condega and Ometepe, ensuring control over quality from seed to finished cigar. This vertical integration is one of the key reasons AJ Fernandez cigars are known for consistency and character.
This AJ Fernandez Toro Sampler is particularly popular because it offers variety without requiring a large investment. Instead of buying full boxes of each blend, you can try five different expressions in the same convenient vitola. This makes it ideal for:
Many UK smokers appreciate that these cigars are medium to full in strength, delivering satisfying flavour without overwhelming the palate. The Toro size provides enough smoking time to fully appreciate the development of each blend while remaining practical for most occasions.
The sampler arrives in a resealable bag designed to help maintain condition. For best results we recommend adding a Boveda pack (typically 69% or 72% relative humidity depending on your preference) once the pack is opened. Store the cigars in a proper humidor at around 65–70% humidity and 18–20°C for optimal flavour and burn. Allow the cigars a few days to acclimatise if they have travelled before lighting your first one.
